Measure from waist to floor

Wear the sandals you will use most. Measure from where the waistband sits to the floor, then subtract 1–2 cm so the hem kisses the shoe.

If you switch between flats and a small heel, hem for flats. A slight break on a heel still looks intentional.

Petite and tall notes

Petite frames look longer when the palazzo is full-length and the top is tucked or cropped. Tall frames can take a deeper hem and a longer kurti without losing the line.

When to get it tailored

If the rise is right but the hem pools, tailor the length. Do not size down just to shorten the leg — that usually tightens the hip and ruins the drape.
