A practical size guide for women’s wide-leg pants
Wide-leg pants hide a lot, but they still need the waist and hip to be honest. Measure once, write it down, and reuse it.

The three numbers that matter
Waist: where the band will sit, usually above the hip bone. Hip: fullest part, tape parallel to the floor. Inseam or full length: waist to floor in your usual sandals.
If you are between sizes, size up for palazzos. Extra room in the hip is easier to live with than a tight waistband.
Rise and tummy ease
A mid or high rise is more comfortable after lunch and more flattering with a tucked tee. Low rise wide-legs slide when you sit.
Use the size chart, then one review
Match your waist and hip to the chart. If one number sits in a larger size, take that size. You can always take in a waist; you cannot add fabric at the hip.
